An early seventeenth century pewter faucet.

A faucet. Long 10 cm. High 6 cm. Entirely made of pewter. With a well preserved two centimeter long screw in end. Most probably from a beer vessel or else from a water spout. The irregularity of the screw thread suggests it was filed by hand. This and the patina points to an early seventeenth century origin. Despite its age, the faucet is in mint condition. Dutch around 1700.
