A 19th C well cut crystal egg glass with a lid.

A crystal egg glass. Height with lid 33 cm. Without lid 20 cm. Diameter opening 13 cm. Both glas and lid are cut with nice decorations. Heavy foot with a clear "pontil". This type of glass was present on the bar of a pub and contained boiled eggs, ready for consumption. They are very rare these days. The glass, probably made in France around 1850, is in mint condition.
