A miniature diorama carved in ivory. Measuring only 33 x 38 mm. On the back a small screwed in knob to hold the diorama. The very delicate carving shows the house of a bird-handler with several cages. In the foreground three people carrying birds. In mint condition. Most likely Japanese, second half 18th C.
