A hammer and axe head. Overall width 19 cm. Length of shaft holder 12,5 cm. Weight approximately 800 gram. Found in 1960 in Rotterdam during the construction of the metro-line. The six sided hammer part is typical for the late 16th C. The axe part has a very well preserved blacksmiths touch mark (Axe). In superb condition.
