An oak box with a lid. Wide 37 cm, deep 22,5 cm, and high 19,5 cm. Painted yellow wood grain. On the side "LAKMOES" ("LITMUS"). Litmus powder was used to show the difference between alkaline and acid substances. From a Dutch 19th C pharmacy.
