A boxwood sugar mould. High 22 cm. Wide 13 cm. Thick 14 mm. Delicately carved with the Archangel Michael attacking the dragon of Evil. Sugar moulds usually have a more delicate carving than cookie moulds. This item has a very attractve patina as well. Low Countries, second half of the 18th.
