A decorated oak piperack. Overall height 49 cm, width 14 cm. Dated "ANNO 1622". Decorated with typical Frisian carvings. Along with 4 later clay pipes with covers. This type of decoration is also seen on Frisian mangle-boards. This rack is a quite early example (e.g. Rembrandt lived from 1606 till 1669). In perfect entirely original condition.
