A small wooden box. Size 22x16x11 cm. Painted with traditional decorations called "Neuremberg". With a very attractive faded patina, due to the fact that the only chemical present in the paint was a bismuth compound. Hence the name "Wismuth Malerei". The box itself is in perfect condition and retains its original lock and key. Neuremberg mid-18th C.
