A rare Bohemian 18th C. "Schnappshund" in mint condition.

Ref.:
21107

A glass "Schnappshund". Long 15 cm. High 11 cm. This stunning piece of Bohemian glass blowers art is made from clear "soda" glass. With several irregularities and air bubbles. In the middle of the breast a nicely cut "pontil". The bottle was used for storing "Schnapps" or Gin, hence its name. Undamaged items of this quality are extremely rare and very popular with glass collectors. The use of sodaglass and the unpolished pontil suggest an origin in the second half of the 18th C.
