An exceptional boxwood rolling host press. Length with 2 original handles 15 cm. Length without handles 7,5 cm. Diameter 6 cm. The surface with exquisite deep carving with a heart, the cross, a lamb, a ladder, the tools for crucifixion, "IHS", the owners initials and the date "1852". By rolling the press over the dough, made from water and wheat, the host derived images from the press. Southern Germany, mid-19th C. In mint condition.
