A map of the city of Groningen. Measuring 43 x 32 cm. In a mahogany frame of 62 x 51 cm.The map with on the reverse a description of the city in Latin, shows a birdseye view of Groningen in 1580. It was part of a famous atlas by Braun & Hogenberg containing several hundreds of city maps. The map is in excellent condition and retains its original colours.
